Board Proceedings

November 21, 2002

 

President Chapman called the Holmen Village Board meeting to order at 6:30 PM on November 21, 2002 at the Holmen Village Hall.  All members were present.

 

President Chapman called the public hearing on the 2003 General Fund, Debt Service Fund, Water Utility and Sewer Utility budgets to order at 6:30 PM.  No persons spoke in favor or against the proposed budgets.  President Chapman closed testimony on the public hearings at 6:40 PM.  Motion by Proctor, seconded by Anderson to approve the 2003 General Fund budget in the amount of $2,879,300, the 2003 Debt Service Budget in the amount of $402,900, the 2003 Water Utility budget in the amount of $490,050 and the 2003 Sewer Utility budget in the amount of $548,300.  Carried Unanimously.

 

Motion by Hauser, seconded by Olson to approve the 2002 tax levy in the amount of $1,203,715 and the 2002 mill rate of $4.8080 after the State applied computer aid.  Carried Unanimously.

 

Motion by Forde, seconded by Seitz to approve the 2003 sewer rates of $16.59/REC/Quarter gallons and a volume rate of $2.88 per thousand gallons of sewage.  Carried Unanimously.

 

Motion by Proctor, seconded by Anderson to approve the 2003 refuse and recycling rate of $30.25/REC/Quarter.  Carried Unanimously.

 

Motion by Proctor, seconded by Olson to adjourn at 6:46 PM.  Carried Unanimously.
