Special Board Meeting

October 30, 2003

 

President Chapman called the special meeting of the Holmen Village Board to order at 6:30 PM on October 30, 2003 at the Holmen Village Hall.  All members were present.

 

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Proctor to accept the resignation of Eugene Alberts as Village Administrator/Clerk effective November 28, 2003.  Carried Unanimously.

 

Motion by Forde, seconded by Seitz to go into closed session per WI Statute 19.85(c) to discuss the job description, advertisement and pay range for the position of Village Administrator/Clerk.  Carried Unanimously.

 

The Board reviewed the job description and advertisement for the position.  The Board decided that a bachelor degree in public administration, finance or equivalent will be required.  They also set the pay range between $57,000 and $65,000.  The Board then discussed requiring residency within one year.  After much discussion the Board decided to add residency within one year as a requirement of the job.

 

The Board decided to place ads in the Courier, Tribune, State Journal, Journal Sentinel and Municipality magazine.

 

Motion by Forde, seconded by Olson to return to open session.  Carried Unanimously.

 

Motion by Proctor, seconded by Hauser to adjourn at 7:25 PM.  Carried Unanimously.
