Trustee Forde called the Holmen Village Board meeting to
order at
The Board reviewed a proposal from Trade Construction Specialists Inc. for the complete resurfacing of the interior diamondbrite lining of the aquatic center pool. Schmit and Brogan outlined pros and cons of the resurfacing options. Schmit outlined financing options for the project. After lengthy discussion, the Board directed Schmit to get clarification on proposal issues related to process and product specifications, timing and guarantee. Schmit was also directed to have Village engineering staff review and provide feedback on the aquatic center diamondbrite surface integrity issue. Schmit was also directed to contact Village Attorney Peterson to determine the feasibility of pursuing litigation against the aquatic center construction contractor for faulty workmanship at the time of initial construction. Brogan was instructed to continue searching for other firms that may be willing to submit a proposal for the project. Motion by Seitz, seconded by Forde to return the proposal to Committee for further review. Carried unanimously.
