Board Proceedings

February 27, 2007

 

President Chapman called the public hearing to order at 6:30 PM on February 27, 2007 at the Holmen Village Hall.  All board members were present, except Forde who was excused and Olson who was absent.  Also present were department heads Brogan and Haines and Patrick Cleary of Vierbicher Associates Inc. Chief Mc Hugh was excused. Also present was Holmen American Legion representative Jim Hewitt. No other Village residents attended the public hearing.

 

President Chapman yielded the floor to Patrick Cleary of Vierbicher Associates Inc. who gave a detailed presentation of the proposed Halfway Creek Park Design concept. President Chapman opened the floor to questions and comments in regard to the plan. Some of the issues addressed included vacating Picnic Drive, bandshell and related berm construction, relocation of the horseshoe pits, handicap accessibility and parking.

 

The next opportunity for public input on the Halfway Creek Park Design concept is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th at 6:30 pm during the regularly scheduled monthly Park & Recreation Committee meeting.

 

Motion by Seitz, seconded by Proctor to adjourn at 7:45 PM.  Carried unanimously.
