Economic Development

The Village of Holmen is one of the fastest growing municipalities in the State of Wisconsin. Since 1990, the Village has grown over 4,100 residents or 126%. Along with residential growth, the Village is progressive in commercial opportunities. There are two business parks and one industrial park that have opportunities for commercial growth. The Village is also associated with the La Crosse Area Development Corporation, a cooperation of municipal and private organizations to promote commercial growth in the greater La Crosse Area.

Holmen is located 5 miles north of La Crosse, Wisconsin on U.S. Highway 53. It boasts an excellent school system, road system and utilities. UW La Crosse, Viterbo College and Western Wisconsin Technical College all lie within the Greater La Crosse Area and provide a well educated and trained work force.
