GIRLS SOFTBALL (Ages 7-14)
2010 Introduction to Softball – Ages 7-10
Introduction to fast pitch softball with "clinic-style" instruction in pitching,
hitting, fielding, and sportsmanship. Intramural type games will be played
on Thursdays. A starting point for fast-pitch
softball (no traveling involved).
- Register by June 1, 2010
- Dates: June 15 - August 5, 2010
- Times: 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Place: Deer Wood Park, Field B
- Fee:
- Resident - $20 (T-Shirt & visor included)
- Non-Resident - $40 (T-Shirt & visor included)

AGES FOR GIRLS SOFTBALL: A players age as of Jan. 1st of the current year
determines the age classification in which the player is eligible to participate. (Baseball, Soccer,
& Track ages are determined by different dates due to national and regional
governing organizations)

2010 Girls 10U Softball – Ages 10 & under
Age as of 1/1/10 - Play night traveling league games against area teams
with possible weekend tournaments. All tournament fees are split by participants.
Parent volunteer coaches are needed for all teams, multiple coaches per
team preferred. Coaches determine team's practice schedule.
- Dates: May 18 - Late July (TBA), 2010
- Games: Monday & Wednesday Evenings (June - July)
- First Practice:
Tuesday, May 18, Viking Elementary Field #3, 5:30-6:30pm
- Fee:
- Resident - $30 (visor included)
- Non-Resident - $60 (visor included)

Attention Softball
Parents
Parent Volunteer
Softball Coaches are needed for every team, all levels!
As a format change from
past years, we will be relying on parent volunteer coaches
to coach each team for
the summer. This is no different than what many other
parent run youth
baseball and softball groups do, and we feel it is in the best
interest of the players,
and the quality of the program we are able to offer. All
equipment, field time,
schedules and other materials needed for the summer will be
provided through Holmen
Park & Recreation. We have recently purchased all new
helmets with face
guards, as well as great looking new uniforms. PLEASE sign up
on the registration form
to coach your daughter’s team this summer.
