HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS

2011 SUMMER VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

Team Registration Only! 2010 had 53 area high school teams! High School Girls Volleyball League available to fall 2011 freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. League plays on Monday evenings at Holmen High School & La Crosse Central High School, from 5pm-10pm.

Three levels of play available:

GOLD (incoming Seniors & Juniors) - Play at La Crosse Central HS
SILVER (incoming Sophomores) - Play at Holmen HS
BRONZE (incoming freshmen) - Play at Holmen HS

MANDATORY RULES MEETING for the Manager’s/Coaches on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 6pm at Holmen Village Hall, 421 Main St., Holmen.

League schedules will be distributed at the meeting. If you cannot attend, please contact Holmen Park & Recreation at (608) 526-2152 or Terry Dahmen (608) 797-5440.

When/Where:

June 6th - August 1st, 2011 at Holmen High School & La Crosse Central High School.
GOLD: Monday evenings. Game times will be 5:00pm - 10:00pm at La Crosse Central HS.
SILVER: Monday evenings. Game times will be 5:00pm - 10:00pm at Holmen HS.
BRONZE: Monday evenings. Game times will be 5:00pm - 10:00pm at Holmen HS.
- Bronze Division will play after Silver Division games (later games), due to many girls involved in summer softball games.

How to Register:

1. TEAM REGISTRATION FORMAT! Team Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 for all interested teams. If entering more than one team in a level, indicate which team should be priority #1, #2, #3 (per level) of getting into the league. Multiple representatives from the same school must communicate with each other prior registering teams.

2. League openings will be filled using the following format:

a. Initially each school will be allowed up to one team in each level (1-Gold, 1-Silver, 1-Bronze), indicate this as priority team #1.

b. Then #2 priority teams from schools with multiple teams per level will be added.

i. Teams with complete rosters, signed waivers, and all fees paid will be added first.

ii. Followed by a lottery selection for the remaining openings (if needed).

c. Then #3 priority teams from schools with multiple teams per level will be added.

d. Hopefully we will be able to accommodate all interested teams, so Register Early!

3. All teams must have an adult (18 yrs. or older) to serve as the coach/manager.

4. Players must be listed on the roster form provided and fees turned in by Wed., April 27, 2011. All participants must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the roster or a parent/guardian signed individual registration form attach to the team’s roster in order to participate.

5. Each non-resident participant must pay a $20 fee. If you live in the Village of Holmen or City of La Crosse (must live in village/city limits, not school district), it only costs $10 for residents. All fees must be paid or the registration will not be accepted (roster/registration form with the money).

6. Divisions: There will be three divisions available, GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE. Please use a different form for each division and team. You may photocopy this form.

Other League Information:

Each team will provide their own practice balls. Game balls will be provided.
Each match will have one official.
Will follow WIAA High School Rules.
Each participant will receive a T-shirt; please indicate size on registration form. Players must wear t-shirt to each match.
Participants will not be responsible for setting up equipment and taking it down.
Medals will be awarded to the first place & second place team at all levels.
