The goal of the USA/NJTL program is to introduce as many young people as
possible to the lifetime sport of tennis, using the concepts of teamwork, fun,
and low-key competition. Participants will practice twice a week at Deerwood
Park tennis courts, and then compete against other community tennis players on
Fridays at the UW-La Crosse tennis courts. This program offers ideal match play
opportunities for players in Middle School or at the JV High School Level.
Matches are arranged based on skill level. Singles and Doubles matches are
played.
Teams consist of 12-20 players; with each team composed of a 12 & under,
14 & under, 16 & under, and 18 & under divisions of play. Match play
consists of two singles and one doubles match in each division.
All match play will be held on Fridays, 9am-12pm at the UW-La Crosse tennis
courts in La Crosse (must provide your own transportation).
- Dates: June 12-July 31, 2008
- Practice: Tues. & Thurs., 10:00am - 12:00 noon, Deer Wood Park Courts
- Matches: Fridays, 9:00am-12:00 noon, UW-La Crosse courts, La Crosse
