2010 Pool Resident and Membership Policy

Pool Membership
Policy
(printable version)
The Village of Holmen declares the following
policy for residency and memberships requirements for the Holmen Area Aquatic
Center:
POOL RESIDENCY ONLY (Not Recreation Programs)
A person is considered a resident if one
of the following occurs:
1.
The citizen has resided in the Village of Holmen
for at least 10 days (official proof must be provided).
2.
The person must live within the Village of Holmen
limits, not Holmen school district.
PO Box addresses will not be accepted. Many Town of Holland and Town of Onalaska
addresses have a Holmen postal address, but are not in the Village of Holmen and
their taxes do not support the Village of Holmen.
3.
Non-resident grandchildren under 18 years of age
with a resident grandparent may be admitted into the pool at the daily resident
rate, only if accompanied by the resident grandparent into the pool.
This residency exemption only applies for daily admission fee; it does not
apply to memberships, lessons, swim team, or any other recreation program.
4.
Proof of residency is required when entering the
pool or when registering for programs.
A person is
not considered a resident if any of the following occur:
1.
A Village of Holmen business owner that lives
outside of the Village of Holmen limits.
2.
A person that resides outside of the Village of
Holmen limits. Examples: Town of Holland, Town of Onalaska, City of Onalaska,
etc.
3.
Baby sitters or day care employees and
participants that live outside the corporate limits of the Village of Holmen.
4.
A Holmen PO Box address will be considered as a
Non-Resident address.
5.
Cannot provide proof of residency when entering
the pool or when registering for programs.
