NOTICE OF HOLMEN COMPOST SITE OPENING

 The Village of Holmen’s Compost Site, located just off Empire Street, will open for the season on Saturday, April 2, 2011 for Village residents only. It will be open on Monday’s from 2pm – 6pm, Wednesday’s from 2pm – 6pm and Saturday’s from 8am – 4pm through November 19, 2011, and will accept the following types of yard waste: sod, grass clippings, weeds & garden debris, leaves, sawdust, and wood chips.

 No brush, branches, logs, stumps or trash of any kind will be accepted. Brush should be placed at the curb for chipping on the first Monday of each month. For chipping, wood must be free of rocks, nails, wire, etc… and should NOT be tangled or tied. Compost soil is available FREE OF CHARGE.
